Kinoshita has captured many private shots of Toru Takemitsu, Yasushi Akutagawa, and Ro Ogura, and published them in photo books and exhibitions.
His series of portraits taken in the composition spaces of around 100 composers active in the postwar era, including Akira Ifukube, Yasuji Kiyose, Ikuma Dan, and Toshiro Mayuzumi, have also garnered attention.
